Join us for this Gottman Seven Principles Workshop based on forty years of groundbreaking research into what makes marriage work by renowned researcher and Clinical Psychologist Dr. John Gottman.

Bringing Baby Home Workshop

This Workshop was developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman to address the problem that two-thirds of marriages experience a significant decline in relationship satisfaction following the birth of their child.

 

Emotion Coaching Workshop

This one day, workshop provides evidence based tools to help parents develop an Emotion Coaching approach to parenting. It will help parents notice their child’s emotions, empathize with those emotions and help them set proper boundaries. 

Good Wine Webinar

The Good Wine is a webinar series that is designed to help married couples reframe common challenges in the area of communication and conflict within the context of an Eastern Christian Theological vision of marriage. Using the Byzantine Rite Marriage (Crowning) service as a backdrop, this program provides couples with the practical insights, tools and techniques to help them more effectively live out their marriage as an expression of their shared journey towards salvation, understood as Theosis or Deification.

Mental Health First Aid – Adults

Mental Health First Aid increases mental health literacy and awareness. Like CPR training helps a non-medical professional assist an individual following a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid training helps an individual who doesn’t have clinical training assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Participants in the training learn the risk factors and warning signs of specific illnesses such as anxiety, depression, psychosis and addiction; engage in experiential activities that build understanding of the impact of illness; and learn information about treatment and support. – This program is offered in partnership with the Center for InMinistry Development

Clergy and Clinical Trainings

Prepare & Enrich – Facilitator Training

Prepare/Enrich is a training program that enables clergy and professional counselors to identify a couple’s specific strength and growth areas, teach them communication and conflict-resolution skills, and help them resolve key relationship issues.

  • Prepare and Enrich will enable you to utilize a key assessment looking at areas of strength and weakness in a relationship.
  • Prepare and Enrich will help you to provide pre-marital and marital pastoral counseling.
  • Prepare and Enrich will help you to build stronger marriages and therefore stronger communities
